Description

1979 Gottlieb Genie Widebody Pinball Machine

Genie is a Gottlieb game from 1979, and the widebody cabinet gives it a bigger, more commanding presence than a standard sized machine. It has the bold look Gottlieb was known for in the late seventies, and it plays with the simple, satisfying rhythm that made these games so popular in arcades and bars. If you want a vintage machine that draws attention from across the room, a widebody does it.

This example has had thoughtful work done where it counts for both looks and play. A new playfield plastic set brings back clean color and sharp artwork across the surface. The cupped playfield inserts were filled with polyurethane, which gives the playfield a smoother, more even finish and a better ball path. The two main lower flipper coils were upgraded to stronger ones, so the flippers hit with more power and give you the crisp, confident action that makes shot making far more rewarding.
